Marketing & Communications Manager—Arizona Community Foundation

I worked as the Marketing and Communications Manager at the Arizona Community Foundation in Phoenix, Arizona. My main task was to work with our Brand & Impact team to create internal marketing materials for other departments. I created flyers, brochures and sponsorship flyers for our central office and affiliate offices. I was also tasked with helping publish the organization’s annual report, an annual publication showcasing our standing through in-depth storytelling.


Nonprofit Program Director—Red Lodge Area Community Foundation

As the Nonprofit Program Director at the Red Lodge Area Community Foundation, I was dedicated to serving our nonprofit community. Annually, I worked to provide more than 60 charities in our county with funding and educational opportunities they needed in order to be successful. Below you’ll find some of the work I’ve accomplished.

Annual Fun Run for Charities

The Annual Fun Run for Charities has raised more than $3.5 million for more than 60 local nonprofits in Carbon County, Mont. in 18 years. It is one of the state’s largest charitable 5K/10K runs.

In my first year as the Fun Run coordinator, we worked extensively on growing the Match Fund, which is dispersed as a “bonus” to the charities at the end of the year. We grew the Match Fund in my first year by nearly 50% by focusing on recommitting sponsors and match donors.

The Charity Chat news page is a monthly publication, appearing in the Carbon County News as a way for charities to continue sharing their news and soliciting volunteer help. It has also been a way for me to continue my passion for journalism, reporting, photography and page design.

carbon county area ride and transit

For more than two and a half years, I worked with a volunteer board of advisors to establish a five-day, dial-a-ride transportation system for Carbon County, Montana. To date, it is the only nonprofit-run transit system in the state, which has more than 50 operations statewide. [Read more]
